Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011). Early this year we posted about the most anticipated sequels and remakes for 2011. Movies fans will have the chance to enjoy films of vampires, horror, pirates, animation, and of course, special effects. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is one of these movies that everyone is expecting.

Directed by Michael Bay and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tyrese Gibson, the movie is one of the most expensive films of the year with a budget estimated of $300 million.

This is the third movie of the Transformers saga, produced by Steven Spielberg. The release of this film is expecting for July 1st in 3D and IMAX 3D. In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’s sequel we will watch the Autobots learning of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets. This could change the tide in this final battle.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon has been one of the most difficult filming due to the accident of Gabriela Cedillo, one of the extras. Besides this, the production team focused on the conversion to 3D which, it seems, caused many problems to Michael Bay.

Hasbro, Di Bonaventura Pictures and Paramount Pictures are companies behind this production that was filmed in several locations, including Chicago, Detroit, Florida, Long Beach and Houston.
